The man who composed Nigeria's National Anthem; Mr. Benedict Odiase is Dead. Mr. Ben Odiase died on Tuesday the 11th of June 2012 at his home while asleep.
He wrote and composed the new and popular "Arise O Compatriots" on May 14th 1978.
He retired from the Nigerian Police band in 1992 as Director of Music.
May his Soul Rest in Perfect Peace.
